Halloween Parade! 11/04/2009
Halloween 11/10/2008
Party time!![]() Our annual Halloween parade and party took place on a perfect North Carolina day and our tree filled playground provided an incredible backdrop of color. The elementary children set the rhythm with their drum and cymbal band, as the primary children circled the playground in all their finest Halloween costumes. We had fairies, super heroes, princesses, and even a hot dog girl and a french fry boy! The parade was greatly enjoyed by parents, siblings, and grandparents. Thanks to some fine parent bakers, we shared in delicious cookies and juice. It was a great party! More Halloween activities 11/10/2008
A trip to the Pumpkin Patch![]() The primary classes enjoyed our annual field trip to Lundsford Farms recently. The children learned the important role bees play in the life of the pumpkin. We took a hay ride through the pumpkin character "forest" and got to visit with the farm animals. This year the children saw a baby pig, a litter of kittens, a calf and her mother, several goats, some sheep, a variety of chickens, and a turkey. After a picnic snack of pumpkin muffins and apple juice, each child choose their very own pumpkin to take home. It was a wonderful and full day. Thank you to the parents who drove and those who provided our delicious snack. |
