At school, we had a bake sale for the Montessori School in Haiti.  We raised so much money it was in the hundreds ($500).

The elementary students were giving the writing prompt “I would like to give the world…" as one of their daily writing assignments. Here are some of the results.

I would like to give the world an animal center so I could help the environment. If I could help endangered animals the world would be glad. I’d like to give the world a new species of fish and keep it company. I would like to give the world more animals with love and a parrot. The world would be glad.

The elementary class is having a Grinch play. There are thirteen Whos and two Grinches.
We will sing “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch.” For our background you will see our Who houses that we made with glitter glue , paper, scissors, and glue. Then we wrote descriptions about them. After we had to match the description to the house. We’re hoping that we will have an excellent play.

Yoga Class
Every Friday for one hour the elementary and the extended day students do yoga at school with Ms. Maddie. We have learned ten yoga poses. I will tell you five of them; the mountain, happy baby, the tree, resting pose, and the flower. My favorite is happy baby. I will tell you how to do the five poses. The way you do the happy baby is you lay on the floor and kick your feet in the air. The way you do the mountain is you stand straight with your hands out. The way you do the tree is you stand straight with your hands stuck to your side. The way you do the resting pose is you sit on the floor with your legs crossed. And finally the way you do flower is you stand straight with one leg on your knee with your hands on your hips. After yoga I feel tired, calm and happy.
