A trip to the Pumpkin Patch![]() The primary classes enjoyed our annual field trip to Lundsford Farms recently. The children learned the important role bees play in the life of the pumpkin. We took a hay ride through the pumpkin character "forest" and got to visit with the farm animals. This year the children saw a baby pig, a litter of kittens, a calf and her mother, several goats, some sheep, a variety of chickens, and a turkey. After a picnic snack of pumpkin muffins and apple juice, each child choose their very own pumpkin to take home. It was a wonderful and full day. Thank you to the parents who drove and those who provided our delicious snack. CommentsLeave a Reply |
