Pinewoods After School Programs
For many families, additional activities are required to keep children busy and engaged into the afternoon. Pinewoods After School provides extra learning opportunities, more time with friends, and less driving around for lessons and classes, and of course daily read-aloud, co-operative games, and plenty of relaxation and playground time.
Additional details:
- Registration for all lessons and classes is through Pinewoods After-School Program.
- All participants will engage in the regular after school activities -- read aloud sessions, games, free-time on the playground and snack.
- Spanish classes are twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday. You must register for those days in the after-school program in order to participate in the Spanish program. Cost is covered by after-school fees.
- Art is available on Friday’s to regular participants and drop-in students. Cost is covered by after-school fees.
- Drop-in care is for those who need occasional childcare. They will participate in the regular after school activities. They will not participate in classes except Friday’s Art class.
- Ideally those needing drop-in care for their child should sign-up a day or more ahead. Same day drop-in care is available on a space limited basis.
- Guitar lessons will be tailored to the student’s interest and skill level for individual and/or small group instruction. Additional days and times may be added based on demand. Lesson fees are in addition to after-school fees.
- Each class at Faulkner’s Dance and Gymnastics Studio is $10 per class. A minimum of 6 students per class is required for the class to run. Class fees are in addition to after-school fees
- We are actively recruiting a violin teacher and will make that available when an excellent candidate is found. Please indicate your interest at this time for planning purposes.
Tuition is payable to Pinewoods in 10 equal installments of the total cost of the program. Payment is due on the 10th of each month beginning September 2011 – June 2012. A $25.00 late fee will be charged for payment not received by the 10th of each month. Payments for Faulkner’s and Courtney Berry-Shaw are paid directly to them on a monthly basis.
