The elementary class was among many area schools to enjoy a program presented by the North Carolina Symphony. The children were introduced to all the instrument types of the symphony, and each group played a piece of classical music that highlighted its sound. The conductor was explained how the symphony worked and what life is like as a professional musician!

Art has always played a central role in the Montessori curriculum. Last year, we were fortunate to have the talented Melissa Williams as our art teacher, but her own education has limited our access to her. Shortly before the holiday, Pinewoods welcomed artist and teacher Debra Wuliger to our elementary classroom once a week!
