Read what some of our elementary parents had to say:
Thank you for nurturing Nick's interests this year. With you believing in him and loving him, he has grown so much, Jo Ann. Nick has had such an awesome year.
You have put Luka on the right path to become a world citizen by organizing amazing field trips and plays and stimulating lively discussion and interaction.
We have much appreciated the visible progress Keyon has made this year due to the way you substantially extend yourself to our children in the learning context. From your kind voice to the creative ways you find to direct their attention to learning tasks, the children derive much guidance and encouragement. While a small thing, it was a joy to hear our son participate in his first play and complete his line with confidence among a well-coordinated group. Thank you for your help in our son's life.
Courtney plays school, but there's no talk of ABC's and 123's. Instead, she may get her map of the USA and pick a state on which to do research (3-4 sentences about the state based on the pictures on the state)! Now that's a true testament to Montessori for the elementary years.
Liam has so learned to enjoy school and learning. He spends his free time reading and writing "researches" - he loves to present to the class.
Maddie has grown markedly in her appreciation for the written word. As well, her social skills are remarkable - she negotiates extraordinarily well through the subtleties of group interaction with a great emphasis on observation.
I have appreciated the rapport between you and Emma and the way you have stimulated Emma's creative and intuitive gifts. You doing this is a gift in itself that will always be with Emma.
Harper has grown so much this year. She has actually grown to enjoy math, a true feat.
Thanks to your encouragement and nurturing, Tyler has gained courage and perseverance as a person as well as a love of learning and excelling! What a valuable gift!
Kate enjoys school everyday. Her math and reading skills have really improved this year. Thanks for all the encouragement.
Audrey has so greatly expanded her range of interests this year because you have presented so many new and wonderful thoughts, perspectives and opportunities to the children. Thank you for your devotion to your work and our children. You have made a positive impact on all of us.
Over four (well, five) years, you have fostered Matt's love of learning and encouraged him to follow his dreams. This year, his leadership skills have really blossomed because you made "stepping up to the plate" and "tooting one's own horn" safe, challenging, and rewarding. Matt will be forever grateful.
