Nestled in Hillsborough, North Carolina is a learning community committed to a childhood cherished.
Since our opening in 1992, Pinewoods has been a pillar of Hillsborough’s educational community. Currently, more than 150 children experience, an education elevated by intentional instruction, attention to the whole child and the power, maybe even magic, of Montessori.
We are dedicated to fostering the development of the young child in a community of care. At play under the pines or at work in our multi-age classrooms, Pinewood students are actively engaged in curriculum that is tailored to individual interests and abilities. Two educators in each class guide the learning of children aged 18-months through grade six. Pinewoods educators are keenly aware of Montessori philosophy, materials and methods and are deeply committed to collaborating in support of your child.
